Transparent interpretation
Two scores, two jobs.
Study follow-up score
The manuscript’s follow-up score combines terrain morphology, geological-boundary independence and data quality. It prioritizes existing study candidates for review. It is uncalibrated and is not an impact probability.
Community intake score
The portal’s intake score measures whether a submission is documented well enough to review: source provenance, description, observed feature, endogenic alternative, trace availability and independent evidence. It does not alter or imitate the study score.
Promotion
Baseline-passing submissions are public but explicitly unreviewed. A moderator may move them into review and, after scientific assessment, accept them into the review catalogue. Geological confirmation still requires accepted shock-metamorphic, meteoritic or geochemical evidence.
